I'm a retired teacher with lots of house-sitting experience and excellent references. I LOVE pets and plants! I stay in your home and bring my own food.

Barb Shaw (two times): Jane Finley was a perfect house sitter for us. She loves animals and plants and has a deep nurturing streak that makes her a trustworthy caretaker while owners are away. She kept the place clean, didn't mess up anything, was a low impact camper who greeted us on arrival home with a home-cooked meal and a report on all that had transpired in our absence. She house sat for us last fall for about 10 days, even though it meant her having to change her plans about traveling. She took care of our cats, even cleaning the litter boxes though we told her it was not necessary. Once she stayed in our home and the other time she slept in her own camper at the back of our property -- said it was cooler out there, and she even had our dog stay in the camper with her so he wouldn't be alone. She takes her job very seriously, loved our pets, and took wondrful care of them: daily walks, spent lots of time with them, kept us up-to-dte with e-mails, etc. She is a very honest, clean, responsible person.
